Dopo Albert Hammond Jr. , Fabrizio Moretti e Nikolai Fraiture, un altro componente degli Strokes, il cantante Julian Casablancas, pubblicherà un album solista, diventando così il quarto "Stroke" a tentare l'avventura indipendente. L'artistra infatti starebbe ultimando in questi giorni i lavori per il suo debutto, il cui titolo sarà "Phrazes for the young". L'uscità del disco è attesa per l'autunno ed è stato registrato tra varie location tra cui Los angeles, Omaha (Nebraska) e New York, città natale del cantante.
